DiMAT at the ICDD in Sibiu, Romania

Gabriela Candea from Ropardo, one of the partners in the DiMAT Project, delivered a compelling presentation at the Eighth International Conference on Applied Informatics: Imagination, Creativity, Design, Development (ICDD). The conference took place from May 23 to 25, 2024, and targets young researchers worldwide, providing a platform to discuss and present research on informatics and related fields such as computational algebra, numerical calculus, bioinformatics, etc.

ICDD welcomes original papers on all aspects of informatics, ranging from new concepts and theoretical developments to advanced technologies and innovative applications. The conference includes regular presentations, short IT company presentations, multimedia poster sessions, and round tables, covering topics like algorithms and data structures, graph theory, formal languages and compilers, cryptography, and modeling and simulation.

Gabriela’s presentation focused on the DiMAT Cloud Architecture, emphasizing a modular, scalable design that integrates individual toolkits in a distributed manner. This architecture allows for both intra and inter-toolkit communication and resource sharing. Suites can also be interconnected to share resources, such as an authorization and authentication system or a global front page.

These insights into the DiMAT Cloud Architecture are invaluable to DiMAT ongoing efforts in advancing informatics research and applications.
