The Information Technologies Institute (ITI), as a part of Centre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH), is one of the leading Institutions of Greece in the fields of Informatics, Telematics and Telecommunications. ITI’s research teams have shown remarkable scientific work through a number of publications including scientific publications in international journals, publications in conferences, books and book chapters.

M4D, operating within MKLab as one of ITI’s laboratories, is the entity participating in DiMAT Project. M4D develops cutting-edge research algorithms and novel solutions in the areas of Multimodal data Fusion, Web data Mining, Big data, Multimedia Understanding, Artificial Intelligence and Multimodal analytics for Arts & Media, Security, Health, Earth Observation, Smart Manufacturing and Migration domains. In DiMAT, M4D is the Project Coordinator, bearing the role and responsibility of coordinating the implementation of the project’s actions, both on technical and administrative level.

The Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft is the world’s leading applied research organization. Prioritizing key future-relevant technologies and commercializing its findings in business and industry, it plays a major role in the innovation process. Founded in 1949, the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft currently operates 76 institutes and research units throughout Germany. The Fraunhofer Institute for Mechanics of Materials IWM, Freiburg is a leading research centre in the experimental and theoretical characterization of material properties. Fraunhofer IWM aims to develop solutions that improve the safety, reliability, durability and functionality of technical components and systems, thus making them more cost effective, energy-efficient and economical.

SUPSI-SPS The Laboratory of Sustainable Production Systems (SPS-Lab) is dedicated to research and educational activities aimed at development and use of methods and tools for design, analysis and management of products, processes and production system. The considered product-process-plant integrated framework envisages sustainability as an underlying common element. Particularly, the activities carried out propose a holistic approach, which considers not only key elements such as productivity, cost and quality but also environmental and social principles, in the conception, evaluation and management of production systems and their value chains.

ACCELIGENCE Ltd is a Cyprus-based company established in 2019. The company is engaged in cutting edge R&D activities to boost innovation capital, improve products and ensure alignment of the services to state-of-the-art, giving a particular focus on Unmanned Automated Vehicles, haptics, and other robotic solutions. Currently, ACCELIGENCE Ltd. is manufacturing its own UAV prototypes with different characteristics, to respond to various needs of different sectors taking advantage of the latest advances in AI and Robotics Engineering. Cetma Composites Srl, CETCOMP, is an innovative company born as a spin-off of a research center, Consorzio Cetma. The founders are researchers with years of experience in the R&D sector, at the national and international levels, taking care of the R&D activities of the company. The company’s core business is the development and fabrication of composite components with high technological content.

Founded in 2000 in Thessaloniki, DRAXIS focuses on developing real life environmental ICT solutions and providing specialized environmental scientific services. DRAXIS aims to keep up and interpret what is happening in day-to-day business, while offering custom-made tools and reflecting their commitment to being of service to the environment we live in.

CETMA is a non-profit Research and Technology Organisation (RTO). With around 65 highly specialised employees, it is among the largest private research centres in Italy not directly linked to large companies. It is one of Italy’s 13 European Digital Innovation Hubs, co-funded by the European Union and the Ministry of Enterprise and Industry for the provision of innovation services related to artificial intelligence, high-performance computing and cybersecurity. Since 2022, it has been a partner of Enterprise Europe Network, the largest European network funded by the European Commission for the provision of innovation and internationalisation services to SMEs.

The NETwork Management & Optimal DEsign Laboratory is established within the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), and is directed by Prof. Symeon Papavassiliou. NETMODE research concentrates on the design, optimization and management of heterogeneous networks and distributed dynamic systems, emphasizing on optimization and orchestration in 5G/6G Networks, complex network analysis, knowledge and data analysis, network management and security, modelling and control of dynamic networked systems, decision-making algorithms, cyber physical social systems, software-defined networks and network virtualization, Internet of Things, ICT for creative Industries and education, smart cities, and performance evaluation of stochastic systems.

The Textile Industry Research Association – AITEX, is a research & innovation center which performs characterisation trials and certification of textile materials and articles for a wide range of sectors including interior design, fashion, work wear, healthcare, sports and leisure, land and sea transport, aerospace and sports surfaces. AITEX aims to create and transfer knowledge of textiles to the private sector, making the textile industry more competitive and opening up doors to new opportunities with a high added-value factor. The center promotes modernisation and the introduction of emerging technologies through its R+D activities and other projects which contribute to the evolution of the textile industry.

The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) is currently considered one of the leading universities in Spain, being the single Science and Technology University in Spain to feature in all world’s university rankings. UPV, as DiMAT partner, is composed by 2 Research Centres: CIGIP and ITM, both members of the Polytechnic City of Innovation. The Research Centre on Production Management and Engineering, CIGIP, has participated in 34 European Projects and 150 R&D contracts with regional industrial firms from different industrial sectors. The Institute of Materials Technology, ITM, was set up in 2005 as its own research structure, which currently brings together a group of more than 60 researchers. ITM aims to encourage and promote quality research, foster applied research and technological development in the field of Materials Science and Engineering, in order to facilitate the transfer of technology and knowledge to companies in the industrial and construction sectors.
